October 10th, 2021 – A “business breakfast” organized in Hotel Drim Struga by the Organization of employers was held with representatives of HOTAM with the main goal to exchange experiences, knowledge and ideas. The main topic of the meeting was the deficit of qualified workforce on the employment market, the reforms in vocational education, the application of the employment voucher and its meaning, as well as strengthening the dialog between the faculties and the business sector. The participants of the meeting were addressed by the president of HOTAM – Mr. Krste Blazeski, the president of the Organization of employers – Mrs. Vladanka Trajkoska and the Hospitality and tourism advisor from the Center for vocational education – Mr. Chedomir Dimovski. It was confirmed in the open discussion that followed that reforms are necessary in the vocational education on all levels, especially in regards to more serious internships through which the young population will become more inclined towards finding a job in the hospitality industry. Mr. Zoran Mihajloski presented the outlines of the project “Making declared work attractive for employers and employees – MDWA”, the main goal of which is raising the awareness of the advantages of declared work for short term engagements (a few hours, a day or two, or as needed), as well as determining whether easing the administrative burdens and the high salary contributions would make declared work more attractive.
